3. How we use information

- To support artist verification, fraud prevention, moderation, reports, blocking, safety investigations, and platform integrity.
- To send transactional email, push notifications, booking, payment, account, support, and security messages.

Messages, bookings, reference images, external deposit proof, support communications, reports, and verification records may be reviewed by InkPlug when needed for support, trust and safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, payment integrity, moderation, or legal compliance.
4. Service providers and processors
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the platform, including Stripe for deposits, payments, and billing; Resend for transactional email; Sentry for crash and error diagnostics; hosting, database, and private media storage providers; push notification providers including Expo, Apple, and Google where applicable; app stores; authentication providers; analytics and security tools; calendar providers if enabled; and other providers that support platform operations. We may also share information when required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our terms.
Information may be processed and stored in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where InkPlug or its service providers operate, and it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
5. Payments, email, and monitoring
Stripe handles payment processing for in-app deposits and related billing activity. Resend may be used to send support, account, booking, payment, security, and transactional email. Sentry may be used to monitor application errors, crashes, and diagnostics so issues can be fixed and service quality can be improved.
6. Uploaded media and verification documents
Government ID files submitted for artist verification are private, admin-only, and are not shown publicly. If a verification request is approved, InkPlug retains the uploaded government ID for up to 30 days after the approval decision, then permanently deletes the file. If a verification request is rejected, InkPlug retains the uploaded government ID for up to 14 days after the rejection decision, then permanently deletes the file. If there is an active fraud review, chargeback, dispute, safety investigation, or legal/compliance hold, retention may be extended until the case is resolved, after which the normal short retention window applies. InkPlug may retain limited verification records such as status, timestamps, reviewer identity, rejection reason, and internal notes where needed for audit, fraud prevention, support, or compliance.
Other uploaded media, including portfolio content, reference images, external deposit proof uploads, and work samples, may be stored and processed as needed to operate the product, support artist profiles and booking workflows, review trust and safety issues, investigate disputes, and maintain platform integrity.
7. Account deletion, deactivation, and retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, support security, and enforce agreements. Self-serve account deletion may deactivate and hide the account and revoke access. InkPlug may preserve records needed for bookings, payments, refunds, disputes, moderation, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, support, audit logs, backups, and other legitimate business purposes.
Some information may also remain in backups or system logs for a limited period after deletion or deactivation. Users can contact support@inkplug.ca for deletion and privacy requests.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You can update certain account and profile information in the app. You may also contact InkPlug at support@inkplug.ca to request access, correction, deletion or deactivation help, or other privacy assistance. Requests are subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, payment, dispute, audit, and operational retention needs.
9. Security
InkPlug uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account information and platform integrity. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for protecting your credentials and using care with account access.
10. Children
InkPlug is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 16. Tattoo bookings and tattoo services may involve local age, identification, and parental or guardian consent rules handled by artists and studios.
